Scoop – Tesla Model-X Lands in Mumbai

Tesla the American electric car maker has been eyeing the Indian market since long and now finally we have received some scoop pics of the very first Tesla to have landed in Mumbai. Tesla is famous for self driving or autonomous cars and has five models in its range. The Tesla model that has reached Mumbai is the Model-X.
The Tesla Model-X is a full sized 5-door crossover SUV that’s fully electric and can run for around 475 kms on a single full charge.The car can be ordered as a 5 seater, 6 seater or a 7 seater. The Tesla range of cars that can drive on their own have a unique software that can; Autosteer, Auto Lane Change, Summon, Lane Departure Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking on its own. The Model-X comes with Falcon Wing Doors for the rear passengers.
The Model-X uses an dual electric motor and comes with AWD as standard. The Model-X uses 75 kWh or 100 kWh microprocessor controlled, lithium-ion battery to gets its power from to drive the three phase, four pole AC induction motor with copper rotor.
Interestingly the Model-X seen in the pic is the right hand drive version, Tesla sells their car models in some countries of Asia, UAE and Australia. Recently the Indian Government had shown a strong inclination to go Electric with the cars in India gradually and Tesla could play here. The Tesla Model-X sells at around $74,000 in the United States. The vehicle imported here could be for evaluation purposes and could very well even be showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo or could also be a one off import. Why it actually is here only time will tell.
