The Diesel engine remains the same 1.5L TDCI powertrain that powers the outgoing model.The Dragon engined version also comes with an option of an Automatic transmission with paddle shifters.The EcoSport was the first sub 4 meter Mini SUV when launched in 2013 and was a run away success for its time. Currently the segment is dominated by the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and newer players like the Tata Nexon too have gone on to sell in big numbers. With the 2017 EcoSport Ford wants to get back into the segment and regain its share in it.
