However, Hero Motocorp has listened to its customers and introduced the Xtreme 160R 4V, equipped with advanced 4-valve technology. The addition of these valves has made a significant impact on the bike’s performance. The Xtreme 160R 4V is a perfect blend of style and performance, making it an excellent choice for riders who want the best of both worlds.
In conclusion, Hero Motocorp has once again proven its commitment to customer satisfaction by introducing the Xtreme 160R 4V. This motorcycle is a game-changer in the 160cc segment, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful and stylish ride.
Engine and Performance:
The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V boasts a powerful 163.2 cc 4-stroke air-oil engine with 4 valves, producing an impressive 16.9 ps of power at 8,500 rpm and 14.6 Nm of torque. While the numbers may not have increased drastically, they certainly make a noticeable difference when experiencing the bike during a ride.
This engine is expertly paired with a 5-speed gearbox, providing excellent low-end and mid-range performance. This makes it a breeze to navigate through city traffic, while still having the ability to unleash the power and enjoy long rides on the highways.
Overall, the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is a top-of-the-line motorcycle that offers both power and versatility. Whether you’re commuting to work or embarking on a weekend adventure, this bike is sure to impress.
Ride and Handling:
The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is a bike that offers a comfortable riding position without being overly aggressive. The footpegs and handlebars are perfectly placed, making for a smooth and enjoyable ride. The suspension setup is also impressive, allowing the bike to easily absorb bumps and potholes. It’s worth noting that the Top Variant comes with KYB USD Forks, while the Standard Variant comes with Standard Telescopic Suspension. However, comfort isn’t just about the suspension – the Pro Variant also features a Split Seat with ample cushioning. This is the first bike in its segment to offer riders the option of a split seat or a uni-body look seat.
When it comes to cornering, the Xtreme 160R 4V feels incredibly stable. We put it to the test both in the city and on the track, and it didn’t disappoint. The 100/80 with a 17-inch alloy in the front and 130/70 with a 17-inch alloy at the rear provide excellent grip and give riders a lot of confidence. The bike’s power upgrade is also noticeable, and the brakes are highly responsive. The Xtreme 160R 4V comes with a Single Channel ABS, which we had the chance to test on the highway when we encountered some cattle. Overall, the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is a bike that offers a comfortable, stable, and enjoyable ride, making it a great choice for riders looking for a reliable and high-performing bike.
Design and Build Quality:
The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V boasts a sleek and muscular design, complete with sharp lines and edges that accentuate its sporty appeal. The build quality is top-notch, and the new color scheme featuring neon graphics is simply stunning. During our test ride, we had the pleasure of experiencing the Neon Shooting Star color, which sparkled like the stars in the night sky. The blend of neon graphics and grey-to-black decals was perfectly balanced, creating a visually striking yet tasteful aesthetic. In addition to the Neon Shooting Star, the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is also available in two other colors: Blazing Sports Red and Matte Slate Black.
But the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V isn’t just a pretty face. This bike is built to last, with a sturdy construction that minimizes vibrations even at higher RPMs. During our ride through the open roads of Jaipur, we were impressed by how smooth and stable the bike felt. Overall, the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a stylish and reliable ride.
Verdict:
Overall, the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is an impressive motorcycle that offers a perfect blend of performance, comfort, and style. Our experience riding this bike on the Hero CIT track and the busy and twisty roads of Jaipur was nothing short of exhilarating. This bike is an excellent choice for beginners or anyone looking for a sporty and comfortable ride that delivers plenty of fun and thrills on the weekends. However, we did feel that Hero Motocop missed an opportunity by not introducing a 200cc or 250cc model in this 4V series.
Despite this, the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is still a joy to ride and won’t break the bank, with a starting price of Rs. 1,27,300 for the Standard Variant, Rs. 1,32,800 for the Connect Variant, and Rs. 1,36,500 for the Pro Variant. In conclusion, if you’re in the market for a motorcycle that offers a perfect balance of performance, comfort, and style, the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is definitely worth considering.
