2023 BMW i7 Electric Luxury Sedan launched in India at ₹1.95 Crore!
BMW India today launched the much awaited flagship the i7 electric and 740i petrol sedan at the Joytown festival held in Mumbai. The 740i will be locally assembled at the Chennai plant, whereas the i7 will be sold as a completely built unit(CBU) imported directly from Germany.
Both the cars will be loaded with world class features which includes a 31-inch Cinema Display for the rear passengers. Amazon and BMW has come together to bring Amazon FireTV content to its customers.
Complementing the massive screen is the optional Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System. Also, featuring is the all new sharper and slimmer two-element Swarovski crystal LED headlights, and larger signature kidney grille with illuminated surrounds. All four doors are electronically operated to open and close remotely. The i7 differentiates itself with blue accents while the 740i gets M Sport styling. BMW is offering a choice of wheel sizes on the “7” range from 20-inch alloys to 21-inch M Sport wheels, with dark accents.
The all-electric BMW i7 xDrive60 model comes with two electric motors drawing power from a 101.7 kWh battery pack. The motor belts out 536 bhp and 744 Nm with 0-100 kmph coming up in 4.5 seconds. BMW says i7 can travel up to 483 km (US EPA Driving Range) on a single charge and is compatible with a fast charger of up to 195 kW. The top speed on the i7 is electronically limited to 250 kmph.
The i7 flagship electric sedan is priced at ₹1.95 crore (ex-showroom, India). The EV has gone on sale in India alongside the seventh-generation 740i which is priced at ₹1.70 crore (ex-showroom, India). Bookings have started with immediate effect and the deliveries will commence beginning March 2023.
