Maruti Suzuki has launched the 2019 Baleno today with prices starting at Rs. 5.45 Lakh Ex showrooms Delhi. The latest version of the Premium Hatchback from Maruti Suzuki comes with lots of changes on the outside and inside. The 2019 Baleno is available across Maruti Suzuki’s Nexa dealerships across India.
Maruti Suzuki had launched the Baleno in 2015 and since then the premium hatch has sold in extremely good numbers. The Baleno also became the fastest car to record 5 lakh sales ans also holds an unique distinction of the 1st made in India car to be exported to Japan.
Speaking of the changes on the 2019 Baleno, the exterior changes include a bolder grill with all new 3D detailing on it. All new front and rear bumpers, new shape of the air-dam that make the car look broader and give it a bolder stance. Fog lamps come with fresh new garnish around it. LED projector headlights with fresh new DRL strip in it. The Baleno also gets all new design precision cut alloys of 16 inch size and in smoked two tone color add loads of style to the car.
On the inside the Baleno gets a host of added safety and comfort features. The car now comes with the latest generation and improvised 7 inch SmartPlay Studio Connected Infotainment system. This system comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, voice recognition, parking camera with sensors, bluetooth audio streaming, Smartplay Studio app with navigation and live traffic updates etc, vehicle information and alerts which includes low fuel, parking brake engaged etc. The seats get a dual tone fabric design while the cabin is set in black with blue detailing.
On the safety front the Baleno now comes with dual airbags, ABS with EBD & brake assist, pre-tensioner and force limiter seat belts with reminder, ISOFIX child seat mounts, speed alert system, reverse park assist with sensors.
Engine option on the 2019 Baleno remain the same with the Petrol option being powered with the 1.2-litre K-Series engine with 83 bhp and 115 Nm of peak torque, while the Diesel engine making 74 bhp and 190 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are carried out by a 5-speed manual gearbox and an optional CVT automatic transmission for the petrol unit.
