2018 Hyundai i20 CVT Automatic Launched at Rs. 7.04 Lakh

Hyundai has launched the CVT Automatic version of the 2018 Elite i20 today with prices starting at Rs. 7.04 Lakh. The 2018 Hyundai Elite i20 Automatic would be available in Petrol and can be got either in the Magna or the Asta trims.

The Magna trim of the 2018 Elite i20 Automatic is priced at Rs. 7.04 Lakh while the fully loaded Asta trim is priced at Rs. 8.16 Lakh Ex Showroom pan India. The 2018 i20 Automatic comes powered by an 1.2L petrol engine and replaces the older i20 Automatic that came with an 1.4L petrol engine. This makes the 2018 Elite i20 Automatic the cheapest automatic transmission petrol car option undercutting the likes of the Honda Jazz and the Maruti Suzuki Baleno as per price.

The premium hatchback from the Korean carmaker was launched earlier at the 2018 Auto Expo with changes on the outside and features added on the inside too. This the Automatic version gets all the updated features as on the manual version of the 2018 i20 along with the CVT Auto transmission.

As per the a Hyundai release the premium compact hatchback segment is growing year-on-year from 4.5 per cent in sales in 2014 to 13 per cent in 2017. Sales of automatic variants in this segment have grown from four per cent in 2014 to 14 percent in 2018.

The update on the 2018 Hyundai Elite i20 include a new cascading grille, revised bumper, smoked headlamps. Trim-wise the Asta trims comes with the diamond cut alloy wheels along with new LED taillights and a dual-tone bumper.On the inside the 2018 Hyundai i20 automatic comes with a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear centre armrest, Arkamys premium sound system and more. on the safety front the i20 Automatic gets dual airbags, ABS and EBD as standard on both the trims.

The 2018 Elite i20 Automatic comes powered with a 4 cylinder 1.2 Kappa Dual VTVT Petrol with 83 PS of power at 6,000 RPM and 117 Nm of torque at 4,000RPM mated to a CVT automatic transmission.
