2017 Ford EcoSport facelift launched at Rs. 7.31 lakhs
The 2017 Ford EcoSport facelift has been launched at the same price as the outgoing car with loads of added features.
Ford India has launched the new EcoSport in India at Rs. 7.31 lakhs ex-showroom Delhi. The car will be available in 5 trim levels – Ambiente, Trend, Trend+, Titanium and Titanium+. The petrol manual will be available in the lower three trims, while the petrol automatic variant will be available in the mid-level Trend+ trim and the top Titanium+ trim level. The diesel powered EcoSport will be offered in all the 5 trim levels. The 2017 Ford EcoSport features all new styling upfront with larger projector headlights, new single frame grille, new fog lamps and a new sculpted bonnet. Rest of the design remains the same leaving aside the new 17-inch alloy wheels. The interior though is all new. There is a new dashboard with a floating touchscreen infotainment system that runs on the latest SYNC3 software. Lower variants of the car will get a 6.5-inch touchscreen display while the base variant will come with Ford’s MyDock feature. The steering wheel, indicator stalks and instrument cluster are all new too.
All new again is the petrol engine on offer. The 1.5-litre Dragon petrol engine develops a class leading 123 PS and 150 Nm. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The new automatic gearbox is a torque convertor unit that offers smooth shifts.
